Niyamas

Niyamas represent the 2nd limb of the Yoga path

focusing on self-discipline, self-study, and inner purity, complementing the external ethical guidelines (Yamas) for a holistic spiritual path.

Saucha

Purity:

Cultivating clarity in your body, mind, and environment. It’s about clearing the "clutter" to create a clean space for your practice and your life to flourish.

Santosha

Contentment:

Developing the capacity for emotional stability by practicing gratitude and maintaining a non-reactive stance toward present circumstances.

Learning to rest in the "now." It's the quiet joy of realizing that you already have everything you need to be whole in this moment.

Tapas

Inner heat, discipline, and transformative energy:

It's the drive to practice, overcome obstacles, purify oneself, and commit to spiritual growth through consistent, conscious effort, burning away impurities and fueling transformation.

It's the internal flame that motivates you to show up for your practice, even when it's hard, fostering self-mastery and spiritual development.

Svahdyaya

Metacognition - The study of oneself by oneself:

The analytical study of one’s own thought patterns and behaviors to enhance self-awareness and intentional decision-making.

This Mirror allows us to gently look inward to understand our own story. By witnessing our habits without judgment, we find the path back to our true selves.

Ishvari-Pranidhana

Surrender & Bliss:

Letting go of the struggle. It’s the practice of trusting the flow of life and offering your efforts up to something greater than yourself.

This Surrender relinquishes the need for absolute control and practicing radical acceptance of external variables to reduce stress and burnout.

Thank you for you time and consideration
